Building your kitchen – Budget Kitchen Cabinet

Keep the blueprint of the house handy. This helps the designer to understand the overall flow and layout of the house. Kitchen has to seamlessly integrate into the overall design elements and color scheme of your house. It is also advisable to take an estimate to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Following are the steps we follow:

  • Window glazing is removed to avoid any dampness in the kitchen cabinets due to rainwater ingress
  • Ceiling and kitchen needs to be painted; kitchen floor tiles should have been preferably installed before commencement of kitchen cabinets installation. It is also required to make sure that the floor is absolutely clean
  • Mechanical and electrical service lines are marked clearly to avoid any damage to these lines during drilling of holes
  • Pressure tests on the pipes running behind cabinets is completed to ensure that there are no leakages
  • The concrete plinth is leveled to ensure that there are no ugly gaps between the cabinets and the plinth
  • Check the site measurements to ensure that they match the dimensions of the drawings accurately before actual cabinet installation
  • Assemble the lower cabinets and check to ensure that they are level
  • Install the workplace top panel. Cut out the opening for installation of kitchen appliances at a later date
  • Install the top kitchen cabinets and check that they are level
  • Filler is installed between wall/ ceiling and the kitchen cabinets on the top and bottom
  • All the shelves and accessories are installed confirming to the original designs
  • Door panels, drawers and handles are installed and checked to ensure smooth operation
  • Kitchen is cleaned up and is ready for use
